Liebe Patienten,
in der Ambulanz des Instituts für Schlaganfall- und Demenzforschung (ISD) arbeiten Fachärzte für Neurologie, Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie, Neuropsychologen, Sozialarbeiter, medizinisch-technische Assistenten sowie speziell geschultes Pflegepersonal eng zusammen.
After learning about my diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease from the doctors here at the
ISD I joined one of their treatment trials. Over my visits, I have come to value the unique atmosphere, professionalism, and empathy of the team. My wife says, I would be missing something if I weren’t allowed to come here, and I think she is right.
Unser Ziel ist eine verbesserte Früherkennung, Vorbeugung und Behandlung von Schlaganfall- und Demenzerkrankungen. Im Mittelpunkt unserer Arbeit stehen die konsequente Umsetzung etablierter Therapien und die Suche nach neuen Behandlungsansätzen.
Für eine reguläre Untersuchung in unserer Ambulanz sind erforderlich:
- eine Terminvereinbarung: Tel: 089/4400 46046,
- eine Überweisung von Ihrer niedergelassenen Ärztin bzw. Ihrem Arzt (ohne Überweisungsschein kann keine Aufnahme am Untersuchungstag erfolgen!)
- Begleitung durch einen Angehörigen / einer Bezugsperson (wenn möglich)
- Brille, Hörgeräte (falls benötigt)
- alle bisherigen Befunde in Kopie z.B. MRT-Aufnahmen („Bildgebung vom Kopf“), Arztbriefe, Medikamentenplan

Outpatient service at ISD (LMU) is provided by board certified neurologists and psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, social workers, and specially trained staff. Our efforts are targeted towards implementation of validated treatments and the search for novel and innovative therapeutic approaches.
We are dedicated to providing the best possible treatment to individual patients while acknowledging that individuals differ with respect to medical and non-medical factors (tailored treatment).
For consultation we request that you have a referral document ("Überweisungsschein") from your private doctor. Appointments with us are usually made directly by your treating physician.
