2nd BIOSTROKE Meeting 2026 - Munich

February 23–25, 2026 – The second BIOSTROKE Meeting was successfully held at Schloss Hohenkammer, co-organized by ISD group leader Steffen Tiedt. Building on the success of the inaugural 2024 event, BIOSTROKE 2026 brought together approximately 120 researchers with an interest in stroke biomarker science to promote collaboration and exchange.

The meeting featured a keynote lecture by Tony Wyss-Coray and presentations from distinguished speakers including Michael D. Hill, Hooman Kamel, Karin Klijn and Marieke Wermer. Scientific sessions covered a wide range of topics, including prehospital stroke care, stroke recovery, intracerebral hemorrhage, emerging technologies, atrial cardiopathy, and vascular disease.

We sincerely thank all participants for their valuable contributions, the German Research Foundation (DFG), International Society for Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism, and University of Calgary for funding, the European Stroke Organisation and the European Society of Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy for their endorsement, and Merck, Quanterix as well as CSL for sponsorship.
